A new mixed reality training app, called virtual reality, is being developed by Cambridge University Hospitals, UK, in partnership with a technology company based in Los Angeles, US.

The new software technology allows the medical staff in training, to evaluate the symptoms of the patients and to practice diagnoses and treatments with patients made with holograms, without stepping foot inside a hospital.

Its creators explain that while the consultation is in progress, an instructor can change a patient’s response or introduce complications in real time, in which the student will be able to treat their patients by imitating medical situations and make decisions.
